ESPN soccernet.com

Challenge:
To build a suite of games in time for the European Championships to increase the interactivity and 'stickiness' of the ESPN soccernet.com website.

Solution:
A number of interactive online games were built for ESPN, each reflecting a different area of interest to soccer fans.

Since its launch in 1995, soccernet.com has been visited by in excess of 6 million unique users with current page view traffic exceeding 30 million per month. The site is truly international in its appeal with a loyal user base originating from 179 countries. Sprite Interactive took the challenge of building a number of games with a wide enough appeal to attract any football fan, and with enough playability to keep people coming back time and time again.

Three games were developed, 'footie addicts', 'spot the ball' and 'guess who?'. The variety and scope of these games means that there is something for everyone, from the quick fix of the 'guess who?' game to the more knowledge intensive 'footie addicts' football quiz. These games have been used extensively, and now provide an integral part of the ESPN soccernet.com interactive experience.
